About KIDS

KIDS is a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and their families since 1970.

We work with children, from birth through to 25 years. Each year we support over 11,800 disabled children and work with about 60 Local Authorities across England.

We are passionate, caring and trusted and our vision is a world in which all disabled children and young people realise their aspirations. We offer support and practical help for families, every step of the way.

About The Role

Overall Purpose of the role of Early Years Practitioner is: 
  • To work as a member of the early year’s team in Lincolnshire, supporting the provision of quality, stimulating ES&LP sessions for pre-school children with a range of disabilities and some complex health needs
  • To offer emotional support and signposting to parents attending the parent support hour
  • To work in partnership with parents
These roles are located in the following areas:
  • Sleaford  
    Please note that the role is 4 hours per week.
    Interviews will be held in week commencing 6th December 2021

    About You

    To be able to carry out this role it is essential that you have the following characteristics:

    • Experience of working within early years settings
    • A commitment to working in partnership with parents/carers.

    • The ability to listen, reflect and communicate appropriately and effectively with users of the service and other agencies.

    • The ability to work as a team member.

    • Experience of working with disabled children and their families

    • Understanding and knowledge of meeting the complex needs of disabled children.

    • Qualified to a relevant NVQ Level 3 Early years or childcare
