Make Your Miles Matter

Here at KIDS we like to make sure we are always giving our best to help support disabled children, young carers and their families, and we endeavour to work together as One Team KIDS.

When you become a member of our exceptional workforce, there are always extra opportunities to venture outside of your role. We are currently taking part in the Make Your Miles Matter challenge in order to raise money for the families we help who have suffered with the extra challenges lockdown has brought. This is an exciting challenge that requires members to sign up and bank any exercise you complete - whether you walk, run, cycle, swim or wheel.

This is a fun way to stay active whilst also making a difference to the lives of disabled children and young people.

Be part of something special this August and join us as we see how far our legs or wheels can take us!

How to take part

Simply click here to visit RunThings and sign up. Registration is just £10 per adult and £5 per child under 16. There is no need to ask for any sponsorship, although you can if you want to of course.

Once you are signed up, from 1st August you can begin banking your miles either by linking Strava to your account or by manually uploading a picture of your activity and adding the distance you covered.

Miles Mean Prizes

The more of us that upload miles, the further we will virtually go! Plus everyone that adds any miles to the challenge, will be in with the chance of winning a Luxury Treats Hamper, worth £64 (kindly donated by www.bunches.co.uk), regardless of how far you go.

And for those feeling competitive, we have a leader board – can you go the furthest and be at the top by the end of August to win a very special Make Your Miles Matter trophy?

Not only that, but we will also have a Mindful Chef Recipe Box with 2 recipe kits for 2 people to give away to the winner of the best photo taken during the challenge (kindly donated by www.mindfulchef.com).

Everyone taking part will also receive a personalised certificate for completing the challenge. There’s miles to go in improving the lives of disabled children and young people so why not put your best foot forward and join us to Make your Miles Matter. Your entry fee will go towards supporting the services we provide for disabled children and their families.
